Look what we achieved together in one year!

It’s hard to believe we’re celebrating the first birthday of Classmates Literacy Foundation. As I reflect on our journey, I’m filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude to all of our teachers, donors, and supporters—thank you for believing in our mission and for joining us on this journey.

In 2024, our first year of operation, we supported 31 extraordinary educators serving in 27 schools. Collectively, these teachers are impacting 1,539 students this school year. The numbers tell part of the story, but the deeper impact lies in the relationships we’ve built—the sense of community, shared purpose, and commitment to ensuring every child has the tools to succeed, regardless of their zip code, circumstances or disabilities. As of today, our waitlist stands at 38 teachers and is growing daily, a clear sign of the urgent need and demand for our work.

To the teachers who have allowed us to be part of their journey: thank you. It has been a privilege to support your work. YOU bring our mission to life every day, often in the face of very challenging circumstances. To our supporters: whether you’ve contributed your time, resources, or encouragement, thank you for believing in the power of this work. A special thank-you goes to our Board of Directors for their deep commitment to our mission and their vision and guidance.

We’re excited to launch a giving campaign in December that will allow us to serve even more teachers in 2025. Throughout the month, I’ll introduce you to some of the extraordinary teachers—superheroes, really—whom we have had the honor of supporting this year. We hope their stories will inspire you to support CLF as we close out the year. Thank you for being a part of this journey!

With gratitude,

Kristen Eidson
